CTR II (12km)
DATE: 29th June 2008
VENUE: The Nursery, Woodhill Forest
TIME: Ride Brief 10:00am, 10:30am Start
COST: $15
ENTRIES CLOSE: On the day
CLASSES Novice & Open

INFO: No whips, spurs, split reins or general 'make your horse go faster by prodding it aids'. Riders can ride in two's or three's or even on your own. Snarlers, cake and fizzy pop will be provided on the day. There will be an initial trot-up before you start. Then heart rates are taken at the finish and again 1/2 hour later. Please try not to get too lost.

CTR III (15km)

VENUE: Coatesville Hall, Mahoenui Rd
TIME: Start 7pm, Dinner 7:30pm

INFO: Please send registration on WRC Entry From to Amber. Send her an email for her address. If you received a trophy last year, please return these as soon as possible to Angela Nobilo at Waimarie or hand back to us at any of our events. Please return these to us by no later than 9 July 2008 so that we can arrange for them to be re-engraved for their new recipients. We will unfortunately have a few spaces on the committee this year as some of our hard-working members stand down. If you have a burning desire to help out, let us know.


WRC Rules

All riders must wear a medical armbands when competing at any WRC events including dressage

All riders must wear safety-approved hard hats when mounted at all WRC events.

Stallions are to be clearly identified with an 'S' tag.

There will be no gear checks. Please be responsible for having legal and safe gear - remember if you are unsure check with the organisers.

Cruelty to horses will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Cruelty may be considered, but not limited to, excessive use of the whip and spurs, lack of appropriate care and poor condition..

All members and their guests are required to behave in a sportsmanlike manner at WRC events. Abusive, derogatory and unsporting behaviour is not tolerated..

Refunds are only given to riders who scratch up to and including the day of the event by phone message, email or text..

WRC Regulations & Guidelines

Please be courteous to other riders. Always assume the horse riding nearby is green. Never ride up close behind another horse and always look up an watch where you are going.

Please ride to your level - be fair to other members.

No-one except yourself is allowed to warm your horse up for a competition.

Entry fees to be paid prior to competition day unless otherwise stated.

Please ride only two tests per combination in dressage events; only three rounds per combination in show hunter events.

Be prepared to ride five minutes either side of your dressage draw time.

No ESNZ registered horses in training classes please.

You are not permitted to enter the dressage arena prior to the judges bell/horn.

Dressage tests may be commanded, and your caller is the only person allowed to stand close (within 1m) of the arena while you are competing. All horses and spectators must stay at least 3m away from the arena where possible.

Please be consistent with your horses name when entering events - otherwise you horse may miss out on winning a cup!

Dogs are generally not welcome at the venues we use - if in doubt please leave them at home.
